Maryse had knee surgery on Tuesday in Birmingham under Dr. Jeffrey Dugas at Dr. James Andrews' Alabama Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center. She is expected to be out of action at least three months.
Former WWE Divas Champion Maryse underwent surgery this week to repair her knee cap. She flew to Birmingham, Alabama to see Dr. James Andrews and the surgery is believed to be a success. Maryse confirmed on her Twitter page that she was in Birmingham and later write, "I am bionic," "ready to run the canyon! yeeeaahhh right! haha" and "my doctor is the best in the world."
It’s believed that Maryse has already had successful surgery on her injury this week but there is no official word yet. Maryse noted on her Twitter earlier this week that she has an online boutique opening soon.
Former WWE Divas champion Maryse is in Birmingham, Alabama and will be examined by Dr. James Andrews tomorrow. It's believed that Maryse may need knee surgery to repair ongoing issues with her kneecap.
In December 2008, Maryse suffered a dislocated kneecap on a house show in North Carolina after being dropkicked by one of the Bella Twins. She was able to avoid surgery at that time due to the level of initial treatment she received and was able to return to the ring several weeks later, but has had ongoing issues with the knee since then.
It was obvious she was off during her bout with Mickie James last night.
